Mission

The National Library of Thailand holds the main function for acquisition, collecting and preserving of Thai intellectual and culture heritage of information resources in form of printed materials, audio-visual, electronic materials and ancient manuscripts. The library provides study and research in Library and Information Science (LIS), promoting a reading culture. The library represents a National Depository, International Standard Books Number (ISBN), International Standard Serials Number (ISSN) and Press Act A.D. 2007, National Bibliographic Agency and Cataloguing in Publication (CIP), Center for the Exchange and Interlibrary Loan as well as collaborative the national library networking.
